Mohammed Ali Musawi is a Research Fellow and joined the team in October 2008. He has spent the past few years working with an Islamic NGO based in London on interfaith relations and was present in Amman, Jordan for part of the deliberations on ‘The Amman Message’ which later became a Muslim consensus ijma’ officially recognising the 8 legal schools of Islam. He has spent a considerable amount of time in the Middle East, especially Syria where he studied Arabic and Islamic studies, and also Egypt where he worked as an English teacher. Mohammed is currently enrolled on an MA in Islamic Studies, having graduated with a BA in Islamic studies. He is fluent in Arabic.
