Sophie Thompson

Sophie Thompson is a Research Fellow and was involved in the production of Pakistan: Identity, Ideology and Beyond (August 2009). Sophie began an internship at Quilliam in July 2009, and was appointed as a Research Fellow in October 2009.

For her undergraduate degree, Sophie read Religious Studies and Theology at the University of Bristol, where she specialized in Jewish theology and history. She later read Middle East Studies for her MA at the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies at the University of Exeter. Throughout her MA, she specialized in the International Relations of the Middle East and examined the institutional rehabilitation of violent Islamists in Saudi Arabia. She also has experience in interfaith community work.
